45 US dollars
Summit Holistic Wellness

Service Description

As we approach the longest night of the year, we invite you to slow down, turn inward, and embrace the stillness of the winter season. What is ceremonial cacao? Ceremonial cacao is a rich, minimally processed form of chocolate made from cacao beans. Unlike traditional hot chocolate, it is typically prepared without milk or refined sugar, allowing the natural richness of cacao to be experienced. Cacao has been used for centuries in spiritual and communal ceremonies by Indigenous cultures of Central America. Often described as a "heart-opening" experience, cacao ceremonies invite us to connect with ourselves and others through openness, compassion, and reflection. Cacao naturally contains theobromine, a gentle stimulant related to caffeine, along with antioxidants and minerals. Many people find drinking cacao warming, comforting, and uplifting. Cacao is not a psychedelic and does not produce an altered state, but the ritual of sharing it can create a meaningful opportunity to slow down and become more present. Why cacao and a sound bath? The winter solstice marks the longest night of the year and the gradual return of the light. It is a natural time to pause, reflect on what we have experienced, and consider what we want to nurture in the coming year. We will begin by sharing cacao and exploring what we are ready to release, what we wish to honor, and what we hope to call into our lives. We will then transition into a restorative sound bath, offering time for quiet reflection and an opportunity to sit with our intentions. Together, these practices create space to honor the darkness, welcome new possibilities, and move into the coming year with greater awareness and intention. Guided by Kate and Erin. No previous experience is necessary, and drinking cacao is always optional. Space is limited to 10 participants.
